Job Description

As a Talent Coordinator at PWI, you play a key role in shaping the employee experience — from a candidate’s first interaction with our company through their ongoing development as a team member. This role reflects and represents PWI’s culture through clear communication, strong organization, and consistent follow-through. You will support hiring, onboarding, and performance processes while ensuring employees feel welcomed, informed, and supported by giving a world-class hiring and employment experience.

Responsibilities

Hiring & Onboarding

  • Post and manage job openings and create a steady candidate pipeline.
  • Screen candidates, conduct first-round interviews, and coordinate the interview process.
  • Complete all pre-employment checks and prepare approved offer letters.
  • Coordinate onboarding details, confirm first-day logistics, and serve as a welcoming point of contact for new hires.
  • Check in with new employees and supervisors during the first 90 days to ensure a smooth transition.

Employee Support & Development

  • Oversee and coordinate company performance review processes, ensuring timelines and documentation stay on track.
  • Help supervisors stay organized and prepared for performance conversations.
  • Updating job descriptions, KPIs, and hiring documentation.
  • Support community engagement efforts and future internship initiatives.
  • Assist with multi-state and international employment coordination as needed.

Education or Experience

  • Experience working with people in ministry, recruiting, hospitality, education, or a similar relational environment preferred.
  • Experience in administrative, coordination, or organizational roles preferred.
  • Experience supporting hiring processes or conducting interviews preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • HR or hiring-related certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) preferred but not required.

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google suite products.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Physical Abilities

  • Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently required to communicate with candidates and employees in person and through digital platforms.
  • May occasionally move office materials or documents as needed.

Cognitive and Communication Abilities

  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Able to apply sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential matters.

Location & Schedule

  • Willing to work on-site at PWI in Nappanee, Indiana
  • Travel is minimal for recruiting purposes
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
